ABAWD Work Requirements 2025

Able-Bodied Adults Without Dependents ages 18–52 (expanded from 49 in 2023) must work or participate in job training at least 80 hours/month, or are limited to 3 months of SNAP in 36 months.

Exempt from ABAWD: Have a child under 18 • Pregnant • Physically/mentally unable to work • Live in a high-unemployment waived area • Veterans (exempt in many states)
